Federal Govt set new directive to banks, schools as President Muhammadu Buhari extended the eased lockdown by another four weeks

The federal government has demanded that banks across the federation to open all of its branches.

This was stated during the media briefing on Thursday by Dr Sani Aliyu, National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

It was also announced during the press conference that President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the eased lockout for another four weeks.

“We have said banks can fully resume. They no longer have to select the branches to open,” Aliyu said.

He also made it clear that PTF did not recommend in any way the testing of student before they resume school.

This week, several schools will begin reopening across the country.
